Sulphur Springs starts the volleyball playoffs with an old foe.

The Lady Cats, a fourth place district finisher, will take on No. 1 seed Hallsville at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tyler Junior College in the Class 5A bi-district volleyball playoffs.

Sulphur Springs and Hallsville were long-time members of the same district in recent years.

"I've watched film on them, but regardless of who we are playing, we have to come out and play our best all the way around. We have to do the little things right and the rest falls into place," said Bailey Dorner, Lady Cats first year head volleyball coach.

Hallsville is 30-12 for the season. The Lady Bobcats ended the regular season on a roll with 13 consecutive district victories.

"Our girls are excited, a little nervous too! Very few of them have ever been to playoffs so they are looking forward to it," said Dorner.
