SULPHUR BLUFF—The Sulphur Bluff Lady Bears defeated the Christian Homeschool Athletic Association of Mount Pleasant Lady Hawks Friday night, winning by scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-11.

This win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Lady Bears.

Tori Raine had a great all-around game, finishing with 12 digs, nine aces, eight kills and three assists. Skylar Stanley led the team with nine kills and four blocks. Other stat leaders were Alley Collett, who had an outstanding 25 assists, and Taylor Wallis, who finished with 13 digs.

The three-set sweep gives the Lady Bears a 2-5 record for the season. Coverage of their district match against Rivercrest on Tuesday will be published in upcoming editions of the News-Telegram. Sulphur Bluff will play at home Friday against Clarksville; JV will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
