PRINCETON — The Sulphur Springs Wildcats JV team opened the first day of their Princeton JV tournament with a pair of wins.

In game one, Sulphur Springs took down Terrell 2-0. Andrew Garcia and Uriel Santacruz each had an unassisted goal.

In game two, the Wildcats had a big 6-1 win over Denton. Andrew Garcia got the game started with a goal off an assist from Uriel Santacruz. Edgar Salazar followed with an unassisted goal. Uriel Santacruz went on to have back-to-back goals, one unassisted and one with an assist from Edgar Salazar.

Jose Rodriguez also scored, with an assist from Alex Rivera, and Edgar Santacruz scored on an assist from Andrew Garcia.

“Great games for JV. They played really well!” Coach Alexi Upton said.
