MILLER GROVE — The Miller Grove Hornets picked up a big home win Friday night, taking down Ector 51-47.
Continuing their momentum from Tuesday night’s win over PTAA, the Hornets hosted the No. 19 team in the state and walked away with a huge win Friday night.
Three Hornets finished in double digits, with Kobe Robertson leading the team with 18 points. Isaiah Billingsley was right behind him with 13, and Lex-ton Sly finished with 10. Other scorers for the Hornets were Kagen Scott 6, and Matt Brignon 4.
GIRLS GAME
The Lady Hornets also faced Ector Friday night, falling just short 24-16.
Lauren Bullard led the team with 6 points, Jorja Bessonet had 5, Harli Watson 3, and Lainy Burnett 2.
Both teams will play again Tuesday Jan. 14 in Dodd City. The JV Boys are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. with the Varsity Girls and Boys to follow.
