CUMBY — The Trojans fell to 4-2 on the season, losing to undefeated Honey Grove, 34-14 Friday, Oct. 4.

The Warriors went to 6-0 for the season.

Quarterback Cameron Scott scored on the ground, picking up 127 yards on 19 tries. Scott also threw 14 passes, completing three for 76 yards, one touchdown with three interceptions. Max Wippler caught two passes for 72 yards, and Jacob Demidio had one reception for 4 yards.

Demidio also rushed seven times for 17 yards, and Keagan McCollum had two carries for 11 yards.

The Trojans defense was led by Colby Lindsey with 15 tackles. Kyle Thomas forced a fumble and had eight stops, Justin Demidio had seven tackles and Tyler Kirby, seven, and Colten Lindsey and Logan Butler added six each.

“I put a lot of the blame for the loss on myself. I think our kids played hard and with a lot of heart,” said Tom Dracos, Cumby head football coach.
