DETROIT—The Como-Pickton Eagles lost 34-16 in road football competition at Detroit. The Eagles fell to 0-2 for the season, while Detroit went to 1-1.

In the Friday game, the Eagles got two scores from Cameron Ray. Ray ran for 60 total yards on 20 rushing attempts.

Caemon Wilburn had 69 yards rushing on 17 tries.

Braden Miller picked up 31 yards on two rushes.

Quarterback Jhonathan Mejia threw 10 passes, completing four on the night for 70 yards. Wilburn was the top receiver with one grab for 54 yards. Miller caught two for 11 yards.

Felipe Marquez powered the defense with 15 total tackles, two for losses. Miller had 10 stops, one for a loss.

Jackson Monk turned in six total tackles and one forced fumble.

Wilburn and Miller also had one pass breakup each.

Wilburn added an interception and three tackles.

“Our kids are playing hard for the entire game. We are working hard to improve each week,” said Ronnie Green, C-P head coach.

The Eagles host White-wright at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Ron Heflin Field.
