According to the 2020 University Interscholastic League alignments released recently, Hopkins County schools will not move from their respective 2018 conferences for the 2020-2022 seasons.

Sulphur Springs Independent School District stays in conference 5A and will play football in Division 2 for smaller 5A schools.

Sulphur Springs’ reported enrollment is 1,251, up from 1,218 in their last alignment. According to the UIL, 5A is the largest conference with 254 total schools, 126 of which will play in Division 2 football.

Como-Pickton CISD remains in conference 2A and will play football in Division 1, the division for larger 2A schools. Reported enrollment for the district is 207, down from 223 in the 2018 alignments. According to the UIL, there are 190 2A schools, 96 of which are in Division 1.

Cumby ISD stays a 2A school alongside Como-Pickton, but they will play football in Division 2. Ninety-four 2A schools in total are in Division 2 football, according to the UIL. Reported enrollment in Cumby ISD was 132, up from 110 in the last alignment.

Miller Grove ISD stays in conference 1A alongside Sulphur Bluff and Saltillo ISDs, joining the other 217 schools in the state. Enrollment for Miller Grove was down to 80 from 86 in the 2018 alignment, Sulphur Bluff increased their enrollment slightly from 67 to 71, and Saltillo showed marginal change from 69 to 70 students enrollment.
