Big 4th quarter puts it away for Eagles

The Como-Pickton Eagles get a big non-conference win over Alba-Golden, winning 51-34 at home on Friday night.

The Eagles took a quick 4-3 lead and never looked back.

The second quarter is when Como-Pickton separated themselves, outscoring Alba-Golden 17-8 to give them a 26-13 lead at the half.

Alba-Golden got their offense going in the second half, but Como-Pickton was able to keep a double-digit lead at all times, even by as much as 20 at one point. The Eagles lead 49-29 in the final few minutes of the game.

This is the Eagles’ fifth win of the season and their third straight win after beating Yantis and Winnsboro leading into tonights game. They will hope to carry this momentum into next week as they travel to Prairiland on Tuesday the 10th with JV starting at 5 and the varsity to follow.
