Since the UIL pushed back the fall seasons for 5A-6A schools a few weeks, coaches and schools have been scrambling to make the modifications needed to get their schedules together for their respective seasons.
Schools in conferences 5A-6A such as Sulphur Springs won’t be able to begin practice for volleyball or football until Sept. 7 and will have just a few short weeks to get their teams ready before the season starts. Coach Greg Owens and his Wildcats will have just 10 days before their first scrimmage on Sept. 17 against Mount Pleasant. The game will be at home and will start at 7 p.m.
