Host event Oct. 18
The 2021 fall schedule for the Sulphur Springs Wildcats and Lady Cats was released recently. The teams will play in a number of events, including one they will host at Sulphur Springs Country Club.
The Lady Cats will get started a bit earlier than the Wildcats, with a junior varsity tournament hosted by Pine Tree on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The following Monday, Oct. 11 the varsity team have their first event of the year, when they will go to Mount Pleasant Country Club.
The next week, Monday Oct. 18 both the boys and girls will host their own even at Sulphur Springs Country Club. The following Tuesday will be the final event of the fall for the Lady Cats as they travel to Longview. The boys team will also participate in the event.
The Wildcats have another pair of events on their schedule, including Monday, Nov.1 when they got to Firewheel-Bridges Golf Course for an event held by Richardson High. Their final event of the fall is Monday, Nov. 8 at The Bridges Golf Course-Gunter for an event hosted by Melissa.
All events are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Further coverage of Sulphur Springs High School golf will be published in upcoming editions of the News-Telegram.
