Graveside service for Robert Mitchell Alsobrook, 71, of Como will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2020 at North Hopkins Cemetery with Bro. Mike Coker officiating. Pallbearers will be Joshua Alexander Sr., Justin Dixon, Randell Alsobrook, David Delgado, Andy Cockrum, and “JD” James Dale Collins. There was a come-and-go visitation 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 5 and 6 at West Oaks Funeral Home.

Robert passed away Aug. 3, 2020 at his residence. He was born Jan. 9, 1949 in Pittsburg, Texas to Robert Lee and Gladys Alsobrook. He graduated Como High School in 1968. He served three years in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971 during Vietnam. 

He married Mildred Dyann Smith on Sept. 25, 1971. They were married for 37 years until she preceded him in death in 2008. He worked for Pilgrim’s Pride for 44 years from 1971 until 2015 until his accident.

Robert is survived by children Mildred Cockrum of Como, David Alsobrook of New Diana, Bobby Alsobrook of Robeline, La., James Alsobrook of Harlton, Jason Alsobrook of Robeline, La. and Darrell Dixon of Quitman; 29 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister Virginia Sparks. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Dyann Alsobrook, parents, mother-in-law, Beryl, father-in-law, David Smith, and two nephews, Dennis and Tim Cole.
