A graveside service for Peggy Jo Ramey, 92, of Sulphur Springs, will be held Friday, Oct. 16, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Sulphur Springs City cemetery. Bruce Welch will be officiating. A visitation will be held at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Ramey passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020 at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs.
She was born Oct. 21, 1927 to Walter E. Myre and Era Brandon Myre in Dallas, Texas. She married William C. Ramey Jan. 8, 1948 in Sulphur Springs. Mr. Ramey preceded her in death. Mrs. Ramey worked as a secretary for Amoco Productions doing oil and gas leasing before she retired.
Survivors include: grandsons, Jared Ramey and wife Chelsea of Sulphur Springs and Jordan Ramey of Cedar Park; grandchildren, Kyler and Kam Ramey of Sulphur Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Era Myre; husband, William C. Ramey; son, Mark Ramey.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tapp Funeral Home.
