Martha Ann Coleman-Stokes, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in Kaufman, Texas.
Martha was born on April 15, 1941 in Como, Texas to Thomas C. Coleman and Virginia Roberts. She graduated from Como High School in 1959. Martha was employed by Safe-way as a buyer for 20 years and later retired from Spring Valley Trucking Company in 2008.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas C. Coleman and Virginia Roberts; grandparents, Oscar and Jewell Pounds; and two brothers, Alva Coleman and Thomas C. Coleman Jr.
Martha “Granny” is loved and will be missed by her three children, Marsha Dennis and son-in-law Dewayne Dennis, Shelly Stokes-Phillips and son-in-law Brian Phillips, and Christopher Stokes and daughter-in-law Monica Stokes; five grandchildren, Jason Dennis and wife Madison, Amanda Wolfe and husband Justin, Peyton Stokes, and Cooper Stokes and Madison Phillips; and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Como United Methodist Church in Como, Texas.
