Jerry Max Walker, 80, of McKinney, Texas, passed away Feb. 10, 2021.

Max was born to William Bascom and Lorraine Tatom Walker Jan. 14, 1941, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. They were members of First Baptist Church. He attended Sulphur Springs High School, graduating with the class of 1959.. He earned a degree in business from East Texas State University and worked for ARCO in the oil and gas industry, as a title analyst.

Max married Rochelle Frances Russell in 1970. They had three children, Stephanie, Jeff, and Todd, and resided in Dallas, Texas. They were members of Park Cities Baptist Church, in Dallas, Texas, where Max sang in the choir and served as a deacon.

One of the things that Max loved most was playing the piano and singing classic hymns. He also really enjoyed politics and volunteered at the polls.

Max is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Rochelle Walker; his children Stephanie Walker Eades and husband Jason Eades, Jeff Walker and wife Jennifer Walker, and Todd Walker; his grandchildren Jessica Eades, Tatom Eades, Grayson Walker, Drew Walker, and Adelaide Walker; and his great grandson Carter Eades.

Max will be laid to rest at Restlawn Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Texas. The family will hold a private memorial service.
