Funeral services for Frances Elizabeth Jones, 81, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darel Roach and Rev. Jerry Clements officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper with Jeremy Jones, Matt Cochran, Justin Jones, Shawn Hall, Chris Jones and Cason Jones serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Braden and Billy Morris. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m., prior to service time.
Frances passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 at the Heart Hospital of Baylor in Dallas.
She was born April 23, 1938 in Cooper, Texas, the daughter of Edgar Dow Clements and Mary Webster Clements. She married Delbert D. Jones on March 22, 1954 in Cooper, Texas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cooper. She worked as an apartment manager for many years.
She is survived by husband Delbert Jones; sons Jimmy Jones and wife Becky of Hatchetville, and Delbert Jones Jr. and wife Robin of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Dehlia Hall and husband Dalton of Sulphur Springs, and Sammie Hatley of Sulphur Springs; brothers Jerry Clements and wife Marzetta, Rodney Clements and wife Cindy, and Edgar Clements and wife Shannon; sisters, Maxie Lewing, Julie Arnold, June Fagen, Ludy Sessums and husband Donnie, Wanda Springfield and husband Mike, Lovina Jones and husband Jim, and Becky Caughington and husband Greg; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lucille Stanley and Rebecca White; and grandson, Joshua Lee Braden.
