Funeral services for Edward Elton “Ed” Watts, 92, of Cumby, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019 at County Line Baptist Church in Cumby with Bro. Wayne Darty officiating. Interment will follow at Miller Grove Cemetery with Logan Holden, Winston Walls, Doug Hall, Chris Voorheese, Corey Voorheese and Codey Hunt serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be W.E. Watts, Lewis Watts, James Watts and Clinton Lennon. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home.

Edward passed away Oct. 5, 2019 at his residence.

He was born April 11, 1927 in the County Line Community of Hopkins County, the son of Robert Edward “Buck” Watts and Allie Carletta Henshaw Watts. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later owned and operated a timber sawmill. He was a member of the County Line Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughter Sandi Sheree Holden and husband Chad of Miller Grove; grandchildren Madison Watts Holden and Logan Wade Holden, both of Miller Grove; step-grandchildren Scotty and Jessica Mullins; and brothers William Elwood Watts and wife Jackie of County Line Community, Lewis Dean Watts and wife Shirley of Miller Grove, and James Austal Watts and wife Chrysteen of Greenville.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Jerry Jane Hall Watts; second wife, Gloria Mullins Watts; sister, Ruth Ivetta Hines; and brother, Curtis Melton Watts and wife Mildred.
