Graveside service for Alvin "Dugan" Penner, 79, of Dike, Texas will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021 at New Pickton Cemetery with Richard Watkins officiating. There will be no formal visitation.

Mr. Penner passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 at Carriage House Manor, Sulphur Springs.

Alvin Edgar “Dugan” was born Aug. 26, 1941 in Atoka County, Okla. to Samuel and Mamie Penner. He married Anita McAfee July 7, 1966 in Durant, Okla. Alvin was a dairy hand and cowboy.

He is survived by his wife, Anita; brothers, George Penner and wife, Sylvia, Monk Ray Penner, Ira Penner and wife, Brenda; sister, Velma Griffin.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Penner, Tommy Penner and William Penner; half-brothers, Omar Penner, Pete Penner and Caleb Penner; and half-sister, Lucille Grammar.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
