Alvin Dwight Taylor, 77, of Sulphur Springs passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020 at his residence.

Dwight was born Dec. 22, 1942 in Paragould, Ark., the son of Champ Clark Taylor and Mary Julia Cooper Taylor. Dwight served in the Army National Guard and worked at Pacific Bell Phone Company in tech support for many years. Dwight was a loving and giving person who loved animals, and he was also known as a workaholic.

He is survived by his brother, Ray Taylor and wife Mary of Gilmer; sister, Mary Boring and husband Clovis of Sulphur Springs; one nephew, Steve Taylor and wife Mary; three nieces, Sandra Boring, Connie Taylor and Karen Showers and husband Randy; and also survived by great-nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to any local animal shelter.
