Seven Sulphur Springs High School film students submitted short films and animations to the 2024 UIL Young Filmmakers Contest. All of the films made it to the semifinals, and freshman Haley Hopkins advanced to the finals.

Northeast Texas Livestock Association’s 2024 Hopkins County Junior Market Livestock Show featured the hard work of Hopkins County students, both in and out of the show ring. The Sale of Champions Saturday, Feb. 24, raised more than $542,000 and counting.

The Sulphur Springs FFA team of Cash Gamblin, Kohen Moss and Lane Kerns earned the Grand Champion prize with their 40-foot tandem dual trailer with a hydraulic ramp at the 2024 Northeast Texas Livestock Association’s annual Ag Mechanics show. The Reserve Grand Champion title went to Hopkins County 4-H members Braxton Northcutt and Beaux Ruff for their custom flatbed trailer made from a 2017 Dodge truck bed.
