This event is sponsored by individual and corporate sponsors. The hallmark of the program is to remember, honor and teach about veterans and their sacrifices for the United States. The program is growing in size and scope each year, she said.

Also, the City Cemetery Society recognized and thanked Leroy Hanson for his volunteer work contributed to the Find-A-Grave website on behalf of the cemetery.

The board lastly requested that people visiting grave sites be aware of cemetery rules that limit grave decorations because of difficulty in moving and cleaning around graves.

The next society meeting will be held at Myra Wilson Chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8.
