Volunteer cooks needed for senior program

Meal A Day is in need of four volunteer cooks—one for Wednesdays and three for Thursdays. Anyone interested in taking time to help should be at the Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Center, 150 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, at 7 a.m. Meal A Day volunteers prepare and deliver hot meals to shut-in senior citizens in Hopkins County.

“You don't have to be the head cook,” said Karon Weatherman, program and marketing director at the center. “The menus and ingredients are there for you. We just need help stirring pots, mixing up casseroles,

making desserts and filling up the lunch plates.”
