Ladies show off talents, share life philosophies
The results are in: the Ms. Hopkins County Senior Pageant was fun for all, not just for those 60-and-over. Vender Wright was crowned Ms. Hopkins County Senior 2019. First runner-up was Nancy Bolton, and second runner-up was Jan Gray. Other award recipients included the following:
• Best talent presentation —Valerie Ross
• Best interview — Marjean Allen
• Best personality,best philosophy of life — Majel Redick
• Best evening wear — Linda Pickle-Hill
• Miss Congeniality — Pam George The recipient of the Clydine Fielding memorial award was Ina Gore. “They [the contestants] inspire me,” said judge Misty Friddle of Heart to Heart hospice. “It inspires you to do better in your life.” 2019 winner Vender Wright will represent Hopkins County at the state-level competition to be held in September in Tyler, Texas.
