Vaccine clinic Saturday

The Hopkins County emergency management team met via Zoom Tuesday and discussed the vaccine clinics that will be held at Christus primary care clinic at 105 Medical Plaza.

One clinic was held Wednesday, and another will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments can be made for eligible residents (1A, which is a first responder or healthcare worker or 1B, which is someone over the age of 65, or over 16 with certain medical conditions) via Christus’ website, through a virtual chat, at www.christushealth.org.

The goal is to have 700 doses given out by the end of the day Saturday.

As of right now, Pfizer and Moderna are the two brands of COVID-19 vaccines available in Texas.
