PARIS—Work planned in Hopkins County during the week of April 6 was announced Friday afternoon by the Paris District of the Texas Department of Transportation. These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues.

Along State Highway 11 in Hopkins County from SH 19 to White Oak Creek, watch for lane closures and short traffic delays as crews will replace an existing drainage structure. Temporary traffic signals will direct traffic.

From 1.5 miles east of FM 3134 to 0.82 miles east of FM 2653 on SH 11, crews will perform milling operations. Watch for lane closures and short traffic delays.

In Hopkins and Franklin counties on Interstate 30 from the Titus County Line to the Hunt County line, crews will upgrade a metal beam guard fence. Watch for lane closures and short traffic delays.

Also on I-30 at FM 900 in Hopkins County to the Franklin County line, additional lane closures and short traffic delays are expected, as crews install drainage structures.

Motorists are advised to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
