TxDOT announces week’s roadwork

PARIS—Work planned in Hopkins County during the week of May 18 was announced late Friday afternoon by the Paris District of the Texas Department of Transportation. These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues. 

  • From State Highway 19 to White Oak Creek, crews will perform road rehabilitation operations on State Highway 11, as well as milling operations from 1.5 miles east of FM 3134 to 0.82 miles east of FM 2653.
  • Along Interstate 30 in Hopkins and Franklin counties from the Titus County line to the Hunt County line, crews will upgrade a metal beam guard fence.

Motorists are advised to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
