Teens linked to multiple burglaries released from jail

Two out of four teens arrested in October in connection with a string of more than 10 vehicle burglaries, one convenience store burglary and three allegedly stolen vehicles, were released on bond from the Hopkins County jail Monday.

Jumierquai Dovarieay Davison, 18, of Sulphur Springs was released from jail Monday on a $122,000 bond. He was booked in Oct. 20 on felony charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, evading arrest or detention, burglary of a building and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Clarence Ofield III, 18, of Sulphur Springs was also released on a $22,000 bond Monday. His charges included unauthorized use of a vehicle, evading arrest or detention, an SSPD warrant for failing to maintain financial responsibility and a probation violation on a 2019 charge of engaging in organized criminal activity.

Two other teens linked with the crime spree remained in custody as of press time Wednesday. Kelly Durayl Waterhouse Jr., 18, of Sulphur Springs is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, evading arrest or detention and indictments for burglary of a building and engaging in organized criminal activity. His bond is set at $122,000.

Chanin Ardwon Holiness, 17, of Sulphur Springs is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, engaging in organized criminal activity and no driver’s license when unlicensed. His bond is set at $20,000, according to reports.
