Community mourns athlete, son

SSHS student Sam Kopal was the victim of an ATV accident in Oklahoma this afternoon, according to Pastor Joel Tiermeyer of The Way Bible Church.
Sam was also a member of the Wildcat Elite basketball team, according to coach Clark Cipoletta, and was beginning the season with Wildcat baseball, according to social media.
"Thank you for understanding and giving Chad, Cristie and Chloe time to process and grieve as a family," Tiermeyer said. "Your love, prayers and support are appreciated and cherished by the Kopal family during this time."
