| Sulphur Springs ISD
Homecoming royalty was named Friday at Gerald Prim Stadium during pre-game activities before a packed house.
Miley Fisher was named homecoming queen with Addisyn Wall and Angeles Cruz given honors as princesses.
The honors were voted on by the student body at Sulphur Springs High School. Awards were presented by SSHS principal Josh Williams and student council president Alexis Tanton.
The following is the biography for the senior nominees who took part in the activities Friday: Addisyn Wall
Addisyn is the 17-year-old daughter of Jessica Hogan and Geoffrey Wall. She has attended Sulphur Springs schools for 13 years. Addisyn is a member of the volleyball team, basketball team, University Interscholastic League UIL, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Hopkins County Leadership. After high school, she plans to attend Tyler Junior College to obtain a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. Jamie and Jessica Hogan are her escorts.
Tia Nash
Tia is the 17-year-old daughter of Elvria Dial and Nathaniel Mingo. She has attended Sulphur Springs for 14 years. Tia is a member of Key Club, Student Council, Health occupation students of America, High Kings Klub, the Youth Department at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, and has been a part of the Lady Cats softball team for 4 Years. After high school, she plans to attend Prairie View A&M University with a major in nursing. Tonight, Tia is being escorted by her mother and father, Elvria Dial and Nathaniel Mingo.
Jadyn Harper
Jadyn is the 17 -year-old daughter of Bam Jackson and Shaniqua Harper. She has attended Sulphur Springs schools for 13 years. Jadyn is a four-year member of varsity softball, a member of varsity cheer, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Health Occupations Students of America, student council, Key Club, and Hi-King Klub. She is also a member of the Athletics Mercado North-Texas 18u select softball team. After high school she plans to attend college to purse her BSN in nursing. She was escorted by her parents Bryant Bam Jackson and Shaniqua Harper.
Miley Fisher
Miley is the 17-year-old daughter of Stan and Brandy Fisher. She has attended Sulphur Springs Schools for 13 years. Miley is a member of Key Club, Student Council, Varsity Cheer, National Honor Society, Hopkins County Leadership, and a member of First Baptist Church. After High School, she plans to attend Oklahoma State University with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She was escorted by her parents Stan and Brandy Fisher.
Olivia Worth
Olivia is the 18-year-old daughter of Chris and Jessica Worth. She has attended Sulphur Springs schools for 13 years. Olivia is the 2022-2023 Captain of the Sulphur Springs Blue Blazes and President of the Hi-King Klub. She is a member of the Hopkins County Leadership Class, the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society, and Key Club. After high school, she plans to attend Texas A&M University in College Station and major in nursing and ultimately plans to become a CRNA - Certified Registered Nurse of Anesthesia. Tonight, Olivia’s parents, Chris Worth and Jessica Worth, are escorting her. Olivia would like to sincerely thank her family, friends and teammates for all their support throughout her high school career.
Jayden Holly
Jayden Holly is the 17-year-old daughter of Christopher Holly and Sonja Rush. She has attended Sulphur Springs schools for 5 years. Jayden is a member of Key Club, Vice President of Hi-King Klub served 2 years on Student Council, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy, Law Enforcement Practicum, Educational Talent Search , Bowie Book Buddies, four- year member of Sulphur Springs girls varsity track and is a youth leader at Mitchell Chapel Church of God in Christ. After high school, she plans to attend Howard University with a major in Criminal Justice. Tonight, her escorts are her Uncle Louie Person and Mother Sonja Rush.
Jayla Abron
Jayla is the 17-year-old daughter of Brian and Talea Kelly. She has attended Sulphur Springs schools for 14 years. Jayla is a member of Key Club, Student Council, Hopkins County Leadership, National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, the youth department at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, and was a part of the cheer team for three years of high school. After high school, she plans to attend Texas Southern University with a major in Business administration and management. Tonight, Jayla was escorted by her mother and father, Brian and Talea Kelly.
Justice Jones
Justice Jones is the 17-year-old daughter of Shantay and Anson Jones. She has attended Sulphur Springs Independent School District for 12 years. Justice is a proud member of Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she is the youth president, director of the Daughters of Praise Dance Ministry, and a junior usher. Justice’s motto is “only what you do for Christ will last”. Justice is also the current Miss Juneteenth of Sulphur Springs, and the head coach of The East Texas Bulldogs Youth Cheer Squad. After high school Justice plans to attend Texas A&M University Commerce with a major in education. Tonight, Justice was escorted by her parents, Shantay and Anson Jones.
Martha Gonzalez
Martha is the 17-year-old daughter of Laura and Gerardo Gonzalez. She has attended Sulphur Springs schools for 13 years. Martha is a member of Key Club, Student Council, Family Career Community Leaders of America, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Hi King Klub, CFA Leadership Academy, and Class Secretary. After high school, she plans to attend Texas A&M University- Commerce with a major in Social Work and Paralegal Studies. Mrs. and Mr. Gonzalez were her escorts. Angeles Cruz Angeles Cruz is the 18-year-old daughter of Cecilia and Lino Cruz. She has attended Sulphur Springs ISD for 13 years. Angeles is a member of Key club, Student council, Health Occupation Students of America, National Honor Society and a part of the varsity Lady Cats soccer team. After high school she plans to attend University of North Texas majoring in Pre-Med to continue her dreams of becoming a nurse. Tonight, Angeles’s escorts were her brother JD Cruz and sister Ana Cruz.
