The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT)—the largest state community banking association in the nation—recently honored Alliance Bank of Sulphur Springs with a Best of Community Banking (BOCB) Award. It received a Silver Eagle award for its marketing entry, “Online Banking Educational Video Series.”

A knowledge-based video series of product and service campaigns have given Alliance Bank the power to create relationships and real bonds with its new and existing customers. Through training and informative step-by-step video production, the bank has been able to increase product adoption, customer satisfaction and clearly communicate an educational story to its end-users.

“Video content allows our customers to see inside our operation, get a feel for our personality and feel like they are in the moment with us,” said Chairman of the Board and CEO Thomas Sellers. “It’s been a great way to connect with our customers.”

This year marks the 31st year that IBAT has celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of Texas community banks with the BOCB Awards. Community banks, such as Alliance Bank, play a critical role in their local communities. The Best of Community Banking competition is designed to honor local banks for their commitment to helping their customers, neighbors, employees and community. BOCB Awards recognize community banks throughout the state for their innovation, creativity and success in fulfilling a specific community or internal need. Each submission received a gold, silver or bronze eagle award in one of six categories: architectural design, bank culture, community service, financial literacy, marketing and pandemic response.
