Student and Teachers of the Month

Lukas Castro, right, was recognized as the Como-Pickton Elementary Student of the Month at the February board meeting Monday. Castro was described as “courteous” by elementary principal Linda Rankin, and a staff comment said Castro was “a great big brother.”

Isabella Romero, right, was recognized as the Como-Pickton Junior High Student of the Month at the February board meeting Monday. Junior high principal Cassandra Bland, who was absent from the meeting, noted Romero is “witty” and “courteous” and is heavily involved in extracurricular activities. Assistant superintendent Jana Andrews presented the award.

Taylor Ford, right, was recognized as the Como-Pickton High School Student of the Month at the February board meeting Monday. High school principal Kelly Baird called Ford an “outstanding young man,” and Ford aims to earn a plumbing license after graduation.

Kindergarten teacher Laura Cleveland, right, was recognized as the Como-Pickton ISD Teacher of the Month at the February board meeting Monday. Elementary principal Linda Rankin said Cleveland excites her students and leads kindergarten staff well.
