The Sulphur Springs Police Department has identified a suspect in the February 5, 2020
shooting incident at Spring Valley Apartments in the 800 block of Fuller Street, according to a press release from police.

Brandon Clayton Soles, 19, of Mineola, has allegedly been tied to the shooting incident and a warrant has been issued for Soles arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Detective Jason Reneau.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 5, SSPD received 911 calls in reference to multiple gunshots at the Spring Valley Apartments, according to an official police statement. They arrived to find one person had been shot, and transported the person to the hospital in a stable, non-life threatening condition, police said. Police would not release the name of the gunshot victim. 

Detectives are still gathering information about the offense, and believe the crime was drug related, they stated.
