Shabaz named general manager

Hopkins County Publishing, LLC announced the promotion of Dave Shabaz to the post of general manager for the semi-weekly Sulphur Springs News-Telegram, weekly Country World, Down Home East Texas quarterly magazine, ssnews telegram.com and multiple associated special sections and niche products.

Shabaz joined the company in December 2019 as advertising director and moved to Sulphur Springs at that time. He has joined the Sulphur Springs Rotary Club but other civic involvement has been hampered by COVID-19 and the cancellation of festivals, events and even the Sulphur Springs Chamber of Commerce leadership program for this year. As general manager, Shabaz is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of Hopkins County Publishing, LLC.
