During a Sulphur Springs Police Special Crimes Unit investigation late Tuesday into ongoing narcotics distribution, officers pulled over a silver Saturn at Hillcrest Drive and Main Street in Sulphur Springs for alleged probable cause. Arrest reports did not specify the reason.

While questioning the driver and passenger of the car, Keyra Leanne Hargett, 29, of Sulphur Springs and Justin Scott Sewell, 27, of Como, officers alleged in their reports both admitted to having methamphetamine.

According to the reports, Sewell “possessed a small amount in his pants pocket and admitted to passing additional meth to his girlfriend [Hargett].” Hargett allegedly confessed to have meth “in her pants.”

Hargett was reported to have about 6.78 grams of meth, a glass pipe and a small amount of marijuana that were allegedly discovered in her pants during a search by jail staff. The total of meth arresting officers reported was about 9.02 grams.

Both were arrested on a felony charge each of possession with intent to distribute, more than 4 but less than 200 grams.
