The following reports are based on logs documenting calls received by Hopkins County emergency communications staff from 5:30 a.m. Tuesday to 5:30 a.m. Friday.

Tuesday

7:48 a.m.: Deputies received a report of a vehicle that was broken into on FM 900 south in Saltillo.

1:29 p.m.: Deputies received a report of a four-wheeler and trailer stolen on County 3520.

4:03 p.m.: A complainant on Main Street in Como reported she was being harassed by her daughter and grandmother.

4:07 p.m.: A caller reported a man and woman were fighting while driving down State Highway 69 south, south of State Highway 11 east.

5:38 p.m.: A man on County Road reported someone had been rapid-firing guns behind the caller’s house all day.

6:31 p.m.: A man reported his ex-wife would not return his calls to let him know about the welfare of their son.

9:11 p.m.: A woman on County Road 4581 reported someone was knocking on her window, but no one was there when she checked.

Wednesday

1:37 a.m.: A woman reported seeing a truck pull into the Restlawn Memorial Park on State Highway 154 south. She also reportedly saw flashlights out.

10:14 a.m.: A man reported an ATV was stolen from his property on County Road 3368 in Saltillo.

6:43 p.m.: A man reported a vehicle parked on a one-lane bridge on County Road 4753.

7:15 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of burglary of a residence on County Road 4772. A woman reported her ex-boyfriend tried to break into her residence.

9:01 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on County Road 4726 near the Cumby cemetery.

Thursday

7:44 a.m.: Deputies received a report of suspicious activity at a residence on County Road 3502. A man reported possible stolen equipment on the property next door. The property was recovered at 8 a.m.

9:55 a.m.: A caller reported a disturbance or family violence at a residence on County Road 2297. A man allegedly pulled a woman out of a vehicle.

11:22: Deputies impounded a stolen car from the parking lot of a local motel parking lot. The vehicle was reported stolen by Greenville PD.

4:12 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of criminal trespass at a property on FM 69 north. A woman reported a subject was refusing to leave the property.

Hopkins County communications operators answered 577 non-emergency calls, 73 calls for service and 65 emergency calls. For the period from 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to 5:30 a.m. Friday, officers filed eight offenses, conducted two traffic stops, one inmate transport between facilities, one funeral escort, one security check and five special patrols. Seven people were booked into and 12 released from county jail, which held 130 inmates at 5:30 a.m. Friday.
