Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County law enforcement and fire department activity from 5:30 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday included:

Sunday

11:48 a.m.: Breanna Nicole Stevenson, 24, of Sulphur Springs was arrested at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital Sulphur Springs on a Titus County warrant for indecency with a child with sexual contact. Bail was set at $100,000, and Stevenson remained in custody as of press time Monday, according to reports.

3:28 p.m.: A 27-yearold Sulphur Springs man was arrested at the intersection of Jarbo and Texas streets on a charge of public intoxication. The man was reportedly observed walking on the wrong side of the roadway and threw his arms up at the officer as the officer drove by. The officer conducted a pedestrian stop and reportedly could immediately smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the man's person. The man reportedly advised he had drank six beers. The officer reportedly observed multiple indicators of intoxication and believed the man to be a danger to himself and others. The man was taken to jail and released Monday, according to reports.

7:28 p.m.: A 25-yearold Dallas man was arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 30 west at mile marker 122. He was found not to have a driver's license. He was released from jail Monday, according to reports.

Friday

3 p.m.: A 24-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested at his residence on State Highway 11 east on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was reportedly known to have warrants and was located in a barn-style house on the property. He reportedly invited officers in. During a search of the residence, officers reportedly observed hypodermic needles, Q-tips and a cut-up soda can scattered on the floor of the man's room. The man reportedly advised there were no additional illegal items present, but officers reportedly located a water bong used to smoke marijuana inside a dresser drawer. No bond was set, and the man was released from jail Sunday, according to reports.

3:01 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance or family violence at a residence on County Road 1186. A woman reported her daughter stole the woman's medicine and hit her in the face.

3:37 p.m.: Deputies received a report of fraud/ scam artist/forgery. A man reported someone hacked his bank account.

4:55 p.m.: James Douglas Wilson Findley, 31, of Sulphur Springs was arrested at the Lamar County jail and transported to the Hopkins County jail on surety off bond warrants for assault causing bodily injury to a family member and interfering with emergency request for assistance. Bond was set at $5,000 on each warrant, and Findley remained in custody as of press time Monday, according to reports.

5:14 p.m.: Bridgette Lashelle Bowen, 25, of Sulphur Springs was arrested at the Hopkins County Sheriff 's Office on a warrant for commitment to a state correctional facility on a December charge of injury to a child with intentional bodily injury, according to reports.

5:55 p.m.: Rodney Lee Harrison, 50, of McKinney was arrested at the Collin County jail and transported to Hopkins County on warrants for continuous sexual abuse of a child or children, indecency with a child and speeding. Bond on the two abuse charges was set at $250,000, and Harrison remained in jail as of press time Monday, according to reports.

9:16 p.m.: A 24-yearold Cooper man was arrested at a property on County Road 4612 on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies responded to the location in reference to a disturbance in progress. A caller stated weapons were involved and threats were made. Deputies reportedly located multiple subjects in the area, but investigation claims were determined to be unfounded and witnesses were allegedly uncooperative. The man was reportedly found to have a small plastic bag containing a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana in his pants pocket. No bond was set, and he was released from jail Sunday, according to reports.

11:39 p.m.: A 29-yearold Mount Vernon man was arrested at the Franklin/Hopkins County line on a warrant for theft of service $100-$750. Franklin County called for service and confirmed the warrant from Hopkins County was active. A HCSO deputy met the Franklin County deputy at the county line and took the man into custody. Bond was set at $1,000, and the man was released from jail Monday, according to reports.

Hopkins County communications operators answered 648 non-emergency phone calls, 141 calls for service and 71 emergency calls. For the period from 5:30 a.m. Friday to 5:30 a.m. Monday, officers filed one offense, issued one citation and conducted one inmate transfer between facilities, one funeral escort, two special patrols and 50 traffic stops. Eleven people were booked into and 10 released from county jail, which held 157 inmates at 5:30 a.m. Monday.
