Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County law enforcement and fire department activity from 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Friday included:

POLICE

Wednesday

10:04 a.m.: A 28-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested at a Helm Lane apartment complex on a charge of criminal trespass. Officers were notified of a trespasser at the Quail Ridge Apartments. While officers were responding, communications confirmed they had an active criminal trespass warning on file for the subject. He was on scene and allegedly in violation of the criminal trespass warning. Bond was set at $1,000, and the man was released from jail Thursday, according to reports.

2:05 p.m.: A 26-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of south Como Street and Veterans Drive on charges of expired driver’s license and failing to maintain financial responsibility. Officers conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the man, who was the driver. Officers have reportedly conducted several other traffic stops on the man, who has reportedly committed the same violations previously. He was released from jail Thursday, according to reports.

3:51 p.m.: A 20-year-old Sulphur Springs woman was arrested during a traffic stop in the 900 block of Church Street on multiple traffic warrants. She was released from jail Thursday, according to reports.

11:54 p.m.: A 37-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested in the 600 block of Texas Street following a disturbance with his wife at the location. The victim reportedly sustained injuries to the throat, elbow and knee. The man was taken into custody due to the visible injuries on the victim and charged with assault or family violence. Bond was set at $2,000, and he was released Thursday, according to reports.

12:27 a.m.: A 41-year-old Farmersville woman was arrested during a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Industrial Drive west on a bond forfeiture warrant on a charge from Jack County of possession of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance. No bond was set, and she remained in custody as of press time Friday, according to reports.

3:24 p.m.: Jennifer Lee Lindsey, 27, of Sulphur Springs was arrested at her residence on Bill Bradford Road on a Hopkins County warrant for forgery of a financial instrument. Bond was set at $5,000, and she remained in custody as of press time Friday, according to reports.

8:09 p.m.: A 36-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of Shannon and Bill Bradford roads on warrants for driving while license invalid and failing to maintain financial responsibility. He remained in custody as of press time Friday, according to reports.

6 a.m.: Jhnea Marie Jones, 35, of Josephine was arrested at the Hopkins County jail after turning herself in on a Hunt County warrant for driving while intoxicated. Bond was set at $1,000, and she was released later that day, according to records.

11:29 p.m.: A 23-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of Posey and Mockingbird Lanes on warrants for failure to display driver’s license and driving while license invalid. The man was found to have warrants and was taken into custody. He also received a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released from jail Thursday, according to reports.

Hopkins County communications operators answered 497 non-emergency phone calls, 97 calls for service and 59 emergency calls. For the period from 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to 5:30 a.m. Friday, officers filed three offenses, issued two citations and conducted six inmate transfers between facilities, five special patrols and 44 traffic stops. Seventeen people were booked into and 17 released from county jail, which held 161 inmates at 5:30 a.m. Friday.
