Ellis Crossing, a new single family home subdivision, was approved by the Sulphur Springs Planning and Zoning Commission Monday evening. The proposed Ellis Crossing is a 62 acre tract located at the southwest corner of State Highway 11 and State Highway 19.

The proposed development will be built in two phases with the builder installing the water, sewer and storm sewer infrastructure and concrete streets and sidewalks at the builder’s expense.

Ellis Crossing will feature larger lots - 72 feet in width and 150 feet in depth.

If approved by the city council, Scott Ellis Homes will build all the homes in Ellis Crossing and the size range will be 1,800 to 3,000 square feet. The homes will be one to two stories, with three to four bedrooms.

The majority of the homes in Ellis Crossing will include three car garages; a new popular selling feature for Ellis Homes.

Ellis has contracted the construction of 71 new homes while expecting over 200 homes for next year. Additional projects include Stonewood Estates with 296 lots and Ellis Estates with 218 lots underway in Greenville.

The Ellis Family has already purchased and closed seven contracts in Sulphur Springs in the past two years. "Sulphur Springs is a special community and our goal is to build family-friendly neighborhoods, with an upscale look and quality that you see and feel the moment you walk in the front door" says Scott Ellis.
