An Oklahoma woman and her driver of an unknown city were arrested after SSPD’s Officer Pruitt drug paraphernalia in the car and jail staff later found suspected methamphetamine on her, according to reports.

At approximately 1:33 p.m. on Friday, Pruitt conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle in the 400 Block of Texas Street and described the passenger, Mary Elizabeth McDonald, 31, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, to be “extremely nervous,” according to reports.

As he spoke to the driver, a 35-year-old man who would not identify his city, the man allegedly admitted he “had a marijuana cigarette inside the vehicle,” the report said.

Pruitt then began a probable cause search of the vehicle, according to the report, and located said marijuana cigarette. He arrested the couple and transported them to jail, the report stated.

While being booked in, jail staff allegedly located “a clear plastic baggie containing a white, crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine” in McDonald’s pockets, the report said. McDonald had allegedly been in possession of this suspected methamphetamine less than 1000 feet from a drug free zone, according to the report.

Both were booked into jail and later released, according to county records. McDonald was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule one controlled substance less than one gram in a drug free zone if proven at trial. Her driver was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
