The North Hopkins Independent School District Board of Trustees will meet 7 p.m. tonight in the NHISD Administration Building to hear and consider approval of their 2018-19 audit report from Rutherford, Taylor & Company, and the Ag Mechanics students will also be recognized.

The district’s FIRST (Financial Rating System of Texas) rating is an A with a score of 100. A passing score is a 60. Como-Pickton CISD, whose audit was presented last week, also earned a 100, and their audit showed “no material weaknesses.”

As part of the opening ceremony and student spotlight, the Ag Mechanics team for North Hopkins ISD will be honored for their performance at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, and the January students and teachers of the month will be recognized.

Elementary Principal Kodi Wright will then give her report after the opening ceremony as will Secondary Principal Brian Lowe and Superintendent Dr. Darin Jolly.

The board will then consider the approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, any budget amendments, monthly investment report and financial statements. The board’s previous meeting was held Jan. 13. The board may then adjourn to executive session.

After reconvening from executive session if needed, the board will consider the approval of the audit, any substitute teacher for 2019-20 and any student transfers.
