NETBIO sale set Feb. 19

The Northeast Texas Beef Improvement Organization (NETBIO) will be selling more pre-conditioned weaned calves and yearlings at a sale to be held Friday, February 19 at 1 p.m. at the Sulphur Springs Livestock Commission auction market.

“We now have almost 3,000 head of cattle consigned to the sale by producer/members of NETBIO and there will probably be more before sale time,” said David Fowler. “All the calves offered in the sale will have been through the NETBIO vaccination program and pre-conditioned 60 days or more.”

Fowler said the consignment book is still open and tags are still available for any producers wanting to enter their calves in the February sale.

The sale will be broadcast on the Internet and will be accepting bids at LMA Auctions.com. Internet buyers should register in advance in order to bid.

Fowler said the next sale will be held on Friday, March 19 and producers are consigning cattle to the sale, which will be held at the Sulphur Springs Livestock Auction starting at 1 p.m.
