Miller Grove celebrates valedictorian and salutatorian

Miller Grove ISD is proud to declare their valedictorian and salutatorian for the 2020 senior class. Miller Grove's valedictorian is Kate Del Castillo and Alexus Sallee is the salutatorian.

Valedictorian Kate Nicole Del Castillo is daughter of Francisco and Clara Del Castillo. She the youngest of seven siblings, Diana, Oscar, Maricruz, Nancy, Alma, and Jasmin. During her high school career she was involved in athletics, Ag, theater, UIL, and National Honor Society. She was also a member of St. James Catholic Church. In the future, she would like to pursue a career as police or a border patrol officer. After high school, her plans are either to work dispatch until she is able to enroll into the police academy, join the military, or get an associate's degree in criminal justice, she said. 


Salutatorian Alexus Sallee is the daughter of WillIam and Ashley Sallee. She has a brother and a sister named Will and Allissa. She was very involved in FFA and was an officer her sophomore, junior, and senior year. She competed in many FFA events. She worked as a duel credit student and plans to finish her "basics" at Paris Junior College. She would then like to  transfer to Texas A&M to major in Animal Science and minor in Plant Sciences. "High School has been a rocking road but I am very blessed that I got to spend it at such an amazing school full of many great opportunities," Alexus said.
