Local Tex-Mex food enthusiasts will be happy to welcome a familiar name back to Sulphur Springs this week. Los Mochis Tex-Mex will celebrate their grand opening at 11 a.m. Friday, June 21.

The restaurant is now owned by Paris native Sarj Agha, who first came into the business nine years ago when he bought Lu Lu’s Burgers in Commerce. Agha earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Texas A&M University-Commerce and has a successful Los Mochis restaurant there. He also owns several other businesses around the East Texas area, including car washes and rental properties.

Agha is excited about the grand opening.

“We’re going to have a full bar, which is something Los Mochis Sulphur Springs hasn’t done before,” he explained.

Starting Friday, patrons can enjoy classic Tex-Mex favorites made from scratch using fresh ingredients. The restaurant will offer specials like $1.50 Taco Tuesdays and $2 Margarita Wednesdays.

Patrons will find a friendly staff, delicious Mexican dishes and a full bar.

Los Mochis Sulphur Springs is at 101 Gilmer St. and is still adding to their staff. Applications are being accepted online at www.losmochistexmex.com.
