Licensing agreement with Luminant on county agenda

The Hopkins County Commissioners Court will meet for a regular session Monday, which will include bid approvals, a licensing agreement and a replat request.

Commissioners will consider two requests from Farmers Electric Cooperative, Inc. — one to reroute existing electrical power distribution facilities across County Road 2310 located approximately 950 feet west of County Road 3345 in Pct. 2 and one to construct electrical power distribution facilities across County Road 3565 approximately 135 feet south of County Road 3564 in Pct. 3. 

Commissioners will also consider a replat of Lots 3 and 4, Block 1 Rock Creek subdivision, by Velma Lightfoot.

The court will consider and approve bids for the purchase of road materials, road oil and culverts pursuant to the County Purchasing Act.

Commissioners will consider and approve a bid for the Cornersville Water Supply Corporation water main improvement project.

The court will consider and approve a license agreement with Luminant Mining Company, LLC and Hopkins County, Texas.

County Judge Robert Newsom will read a resolution authorizing the County Grant Program Year 2020 - Lamar County Human Resources Council.

Also on the agenda for court approval are previous meeting minutes; budget amendments and line item transfers; payment of bills, revenues, expenses, payroll and financial statements; monthly reports from county offices; any other grants or donations presented; personnel matters; disposal of assets requests; and any contracts, resolutions or proclamations presented.

The commissioners court session will convene at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28 in the first floor courtroom of the Hopkins County Courthouse.
