Lander’s Creek Outfitters, 214 Main St. in Sulphur Springs, is hosting a Helicopter Hog Hunt Raffle to benefit Operation Victor Echo Tango, which supports Hopkins County veterans.

The cost of each ticket is $100, and all proceeds go to OVET.

Two winners will be selected live on Tuesday, Dec. 24, and each winner can invite a second shooter/observer to fly with them during the hunt. Four people will get the ride of a lifetime and get to hunt feral hogs in Hopkins County.

Weapons will be provided and all safety briefings conducted by commercial pilot Larry Dodson of Mr. D’s Helicopters.

Chad’s Media will provide in-flight video for the winners to memorialize the aerial huts.

After the flight, Logan Vaughn with TableLeaf Supper Club will serve a brisket meal from Rail 19 Meats for some of the Hopkins County veterans. David Slaughter of Slaughter’s BBQ will serve bacon-wrapped shrimp poppers. Kory and Katie Koon from Rail 19 Meats will provide summer sausage and other treats.

Black Sheep outdoors will be on hand with thermal scopes and side-by-sides to assist with the taking of the feral hogs.

The aerial hunt and barbecue will be dependent upon weather conditions.
