Max, at about 18 hands high, with one of his handlers, Josh Manternach, is one of the team of eight Clydesdale horses that will be pulling Budweiser’s 8,000-pound, 1903 Studebaker wagon, according to Doug Bousselot, the spokesman on-hand for the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales. The horses, weighing 1,900-2,200 pounds each, he said, will be making an appearances this week, including today at 4-6 p.m. at Walmart Supercenter parking lot, 5-7 p.m. in downtown Sulphur Springs and in the 2019 Dairy Festival parade that will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. Attendees can also look for Augie and April, the team’s loyal Dalmatians. (Staff photo by Jillian Smith)
