With the weekend after election day approaching, the US has still not decisively selected a president. While swing states are busy counting votes, the citizens of Hopkins County anxiously await results.

Early in the morning hours of Nov. 6, Georgia flipped from a leaning-red state for incumbent president Donald Trump to a leaning-blue state for challenger Joe Biden, according to the associated press. A few short hours later, around 8 a.m. on Nov. 6, Pennsylvania also pulled slightly blue, with vote totals leaning Biden, AP noted.

North Carolina still remains red leaning as of 9 a.m. on Nov. 6 by approximately one million votes, according to AP.

Although the AP has called Arizona for Biden, approximately 10% of votes remain to be counted, primarily in the Phoenix metro area, according to AP. Nevada only states 84% of precincts reporting, and may release the next batch of ballot counts on Saturday, Nov. 7, according to AP.

Hopkins County released its vote totals on 8:37 p.m. on Nov. 3, under two hours after polls closed on election day.
