It’s Homecoming Week at North Hopkins ISD, and the following are bios on the King and Queen nominees and class representatives.

KING AND QUEEN NOMINEES

Lindsay Faulks is the daughter of Tammy and Kelly Faulks. She has attended North Hopkins since she was in pre-K. Lindsey has been an active FFA member for all of her high school years and has served as an FFA officer since her sophomore year. She has been a FCCLA member for three years and has served as a FCCLA officer for the past two years. Throughout her high school years she has also participated in Beta and student council. After high school Lindsey plans to attend Texas A&M Commerce to receive a degree in ag business.

Allan Alvarez is the son of Carmen and Bernardo Alvarez. Allan is involved in basketball and has been on JV his freshman and sophomore years and on varsity his junior and senior years. His future plans are to attend Georgia’s Southeast Lineman Training Center in the fall to become a lineman.

Kortni Ferrell is the daughter of Jackey and Vicki Ferrell. Kortni has gone to North Hopkins since she was in pre-K. She has participated in student council for three years, Beta for four years, FCCLA for three years, and varsity volleyball for four years. Kortni is also active in her church, Peerless Baptist Church. She has gone to Houston for mission trips to help children for four years. After Kortni graduates she plans to attend Texas A&M - Commerce and plans to pursue a career in pediatric nursing. Jordan Holland is the

Jordan Holland is the son of Jennifer and Justin Holland. Jordan participates in FFA serving as a chapter officer. After graduation, Jordan plans on welding.

Teresa Juarez is the daughter of Milca and Jose Juan Juarez and sister to Jimena, Jose Jovanni and Juan Jesus Juarez. Teresa is a member of the National Beta Club and FCCLA. Reading is one of her favorite activities. From a young age she has always known what she wants to do. She plans to obtain a bachelor's degree of science in nursing and fulfill her long time dream of helping others in need. She has always loved helping people, but her end goal is to help kids in special education because she believes that all kids deserve to be loved and cared for, and she wishes to take part in their lives. Samuel Navarro is the

Samuel Navarro is the son of Maria Navarro and Adelaido Navarro. Samuel plans to get certified in mechanical engineering with the Shelby Automotive School.

Raylee Mathis is the daughter of Kara and Phillip Mathis. Raylee is involved in varsity volleyball, Hopkins County Leadership, Peerless Baptist Youth and Beta and is the FCCLA vice president. Her future plans are to attend East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. She plans to major in kinesiology and sports medicine and hopes to become a physical therapist. While in college, she will be playing volleyball.

Johnny Seamster is the son of Doris Counts. Johnny has attended North Hopkins since pre-K, and he has participated in basketball for four years, playing on varsity for two. He has also been a member of Beta for two years. Johnny plans to attend Southern Arkansas University to major in computer science.

Jackie Perez is the daughter of Janie and Jose Perez. She was involved in FCCLA her sophomore and junior year, FFA her junior year, Beta freshman through senior year, ran cross country her freshman and sophomore year, played softball her freshman through junior year and has played volleyball freshman through senior year. She has been a part of the student council since her sophomore year. She was class president sophomore year and reporter her junior year. She works at Redneck Bar & Grill and plans on continuing this job when she graduates and attends college. She plans on going to college at Texas A&M - Commerce where she will major in business and minor in social work.

Caleb Short is the son of Daniele and David Short. He is involved in art and ag mechanics. He plans to attend NTCC and work towards an associate of applied science through the Carrol Shelby Automotive Service Technician Specialization program.

Crowning will take place Friday, Jan. 15 in the North Hopkins gym immediately after the varsity boys basketball game against Boles.
