HCFD responds to Sulphur Bluff structure fire

EMS and multiple county VFDs also dispatched

The Hopkins County Fire Department and EMS were dispatched for a report of a structure fire at a Sulphur Bluff residence Tuesday afternoon.

The first report came in at 2:45 p.m. The caller reported people running from the residence on County Road 3608, located just east of the intersection of FM 71 and FM 69. Information about whether anyone was left inside the house was  unclear, but EMS was dispatched to the scene at Priority Two at 2:49 p.m.

In addition to HCFD, Sulphur Bluff, Saltillo, Dike, Arbala, Brinker and Peerless/South Sulphur Volunteer Fire Departments were also dispatched at 2:45 p.m. Franklin County firefighters were dispatched as well. Hopkins County Sheriff's deputies and DPS also responded to the location.

Cumby VFD personnel were asked to man Station 20 (HCFD) with their engines, as all county firefighters were on the scene in Sulphur Bluff.
