Lights of Life

The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation Lights of Life campaign that raises funds to benefit the services offered at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital-Sulphur Springs will host a Tree Lighting and Festival of Trees in the hospital’s lobby.

This will be the first year the Foundation will host the Festival of Trees, which include a silent auction. Individuals may bid on decorated Christmas trees that are donated by local businesses, individuals, hospital departments and healthcare clinics. Bidding starts at 6 p.m., and the highest bidders will be announced during the tree lighting that evening.

For entertainment, the Sulphur Springs High School Jazz Band and Water Oaks children’s choir will perform. Attendees will be offered the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with CHRISTUS associates, cookies and hot chocolate will be provided by the Volunteer Auxiliary, and then see Santa Claus stop by for a visit.

The decorated trees will be lined up along the front windows of the hospital main lobby, starting at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25.

The Lights of Life Tree Lighting and Festival of Trees will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 in the main lobby of CHRISTUS hospital.
