A 22-year-old Sulphur Springs man driving a 2001 Dodge 2500 Dually truck was arrested for alleged assault with a deadly weapon at FM 71 west and County Road 4766, west of State Highway 19 in North Hopkins Tuesday night.
The Hopkins County Sheriff ’s deputy who responded to the call reported, “He rammed the truck on the driver’s side front bumper on the other truck. He then backed up and rammed the truck again, causing damage to the front of the other truck and putting the two occupants of the truck in fear for their lives.”
The man was placed into custody and taken to Hopkins County Jail without any further incident, the report read.
